Day 6 – Getting More Traffic and Making Friends
Objective: To see the results of the past few days, and seek room for improvement.
Log in to your MyBlogLog and add a few friends. Make sure you leave a friendly comment on their blog, without leaving your site url as that might make it look like spam. Just add them to your friends list, and join a few communities that you think are relevant to your blog.
Also, set-up your bog details in your profile and add your codes to the Super Adsense theme is you haven’t done that already. This would give you a link back, as well as expose your blog to other bloggers who may end up linking to you.
Sign-up for a Delicious account and add one or two of your best posts as a bookmark to the site, giving it the proper tags. This would give you a couple of links back to your blog.
Get more targeted traffic with Real Traffic Exchange. Signup, submit your sites for review, and then place the codes on your blog. The easiest way to do this is to put the codes in a text widget on your sidebar.
Sign-up for Feedburner and using the “Feedburner Replacement” plugin, redirect all your traffic to Feedburner. Then, add a Feedburner subscription form to your blog and every few days check if people subscribe to your RSS feed.
Content is king, so now go ahead and write more content for your blog, using your keyword list, and also by responding to other bloggers, doing trackbacks and leaving comments on their blogs.
